Did you know that sixty-percent of the Unites States population alone is dealing with at least one symptom of digestive dysfunction?

You name it — gas, bloating, heartburn, abdominal pain, candida, constipation, diarrhea — the statistics say that YOU are more than likely experiencing one or more of them, right now at this very moment.

Living with digestive problems has become the new normal. Typically, they begin as minor complaints — a little indigestion here and there, the occasional tummy ache or bout of heartburn.

At some point during this cathartic act of courage you realize that you’ve used up all 12 minutes of your allotted appointment time and suddenly find yourself in the pharmacy with a prescription for a drug that comes with two pages of side effects.

No exam. No testing. No investigation whatsoever into what may be causing your symptoms.

Just ignorance in the form of a pill.

What now?

THAT is the very question hundreds of millions of people worldwide are asking about their digestive problems.

Today, I’ve come with the answer.

The truth is that “modern day” medicine has fallen as much as 17 years behind the latest research. In other words, almost two decades will pass before your doctor recommends what actually works.

Chances are, your doc is unaware of the growing number of research studies demonstrating these alarming findings:

– The toxicity of persistent constipation may cause common, everyday symptoms like fatigue, attention deficit, and brain fog.

– Autoimmune conditions like Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis are almost always rooted in digestive dysfunction.

7 Ways To Avoid GMOs

If you haven’t paid much attention to whether you eat GMOs up to this point, here’s a good reason why you should.

The first ever long-term study on the effects GMOs has just been published in “Food and Chemical Toxicology”. It studied the effects of GM corn and Roundup, the toxic pesticide used on GM crops, and found that the rats in the study “developed cancers faster and died earlier than rats fed on a standard diet. They suffered breast cancer and severe liver and kidney damage.”

Until we get GMOs labeled here in the U.S., you need to be on the lookout to make sure you keep GMOs out of your food, if you want to stay healthy.

Here are some of the best ways to avoid GMOs …

  • Eat as much fresh whole food as possible. Buy certified organic. GMOs are not allowed in organic food.
  • Buy from your local farmer’s market and choose vendors who sell organic or who do not use pesticides. Get to know your farmers. Some who are not certified organic do produce foods that are organic quality. However, becoming certified organic is very costly and keeps some farmers from getting certified.
  • Avoid non-organic zucchini, crookneck squash and Hawaiian papayas. These can be GMO.
  • If you buy packaged foods, make sure they are 100% certified organic. GMO ingredients can be hidden in food additives, spices, enzymes and other vague ingredient names.
  • Buy foods that have the non-GMO project seal on the package.
  • Get a copy of the non-GMO Shopping Guide, which lists brand name products that have been verified to be free of GMO ingredients. However, just because a product is GMO free does not mean it is healthy. You still need to read ingredients lists to make sure the ingredients in the product are healthy.
  • If you eat out, choose a restaurant that serves 100% organic food. If you eat at a restaurant that serves food that is not organic, it is highly likely that the food you eat will contain GMO ingredients.

If you follow these seven simple steps, you will do a good job of avoiding GMOs, as much as possible, until we get GMOs labeled in the U.S.

You can take this a step further and make sure that the food you eat is not only healthy, but is healthy for you. The Deadly Begining of GMOs

While GMO ingredients have been in packaged foods on our grocery store shelves since the mid 1990’s as a result of the  governments agenda to promote biotechnology, that was not the real beginning of GMOs in the US.

You may remember back in the late 1980’s the nutritional supplement L-tryptophan was taken off the market because of a number of deaths that were all traced back to the supplement produced by a single manufacturer in Japan.

It was only that one manufacturer’s product that was causing harm. The reason for the sudden adverse events from those taking this supplement was that this manufacturer introduced genetically engineered bacteria.

Why were all L-tryptophan supplements banned for a number of years if the cause of the problem was just one manufacturer’s introduction of a deadly and untested GMO?

“Political pressures have played a role in the FDA’s decision to ban L-tryptophan as well as its desire to increase its regulatory power over dietary supplements.”

The FDA Dietary Supplement Task Force report of June 15, 1993 states “The Task Force considered various issues in its deliberations, including what steps are necessary to ensure that the existence of dietery supplements on the market does not act as a disincentive to drug development.”

This may be old news, but the FDA today still acts primarily in the interest of the drug companies and the biotech industry. In fact, “the FDA has an official mandate to promote biotechnology.”

This is why it is so critically important that we as citizens and consumers band together and work to get genetically engineered foods labeled.

If you are a Californian, please vote YES on Prop 37 in the upcoming November election, to require GMO foods to be labeled in the state of California. Please pass this on to friends and family who live in CA as well.

Whether you live in California or not, here’s a petition to the FDA to label GMO foods. Please sign it and pass it around to everyone you know.

As surprising as it may seem, there are still people who don’t know about GM foods.

This is important. It is a matter of your health and your life.


Top 10 Lies Told by Monsanto on GMO Labeling in California

The battle over the labeling of GMO foods in California is heating up.

Prop 37, the initiative to require the labeling of GMO foods in California was put on the ballot in the upcoming November election by an overwhelming number of people in California. A Yes vote on Prop 37 will require foods containing GMO ingredients sold in the state of California to state on the label that the food contains GMOs.

We have a right to know what’s in our food.

It was no big deal when it was required to label products containing trans fats. Likewise, there was no uproar when MSG labeling was required.

Labeling products with GMOs is no different in terms of cost or inconvenience to the industry.

The difference here is that the biotech industry does not want you to know that the foods you eat, and have been eating since the 1990’s contain GMOs. And more GMOs are on the fast track to be added to our food supply.

They are starting a huge propaganda campaign because they are on a mission to convince you that it’s not a good idea to label GMOs in your food. They don’t want you to know that you’re eating GMOs because they are afraid that you will stop buying their frankenfoods.

Michele Simon, a public health lawyer writing for the Huffington Post has written “Top 10 Lies Told by Monsanto on GMO Labeling in California.”

Please read the article and don’t be fooled by the anti Prop 37 messages you will be hearing soon, up until the election.

Prop 37 was put on the ballot to give you choice about whether you want to eat GMO foods or not. This is information you need so you can make your own informed, healthy choices.

The Biotech Industry Does NOT Want You To Know What Is In Your Food.

You will have the opportunity to vote for the labeling of GMO foods in California in the upcoming November election.

The biotech industry is planning on spending tens of millions of dollars to convince you to vote NO. They know that most people want to know if their  food contains GMOs and that people will choose not to buy food with GMO ingredients. This has already happened in Europe.

Forty countries in the world require the labeling of GMOs, but not the U.S. It is time for full disclosure.

We have the right to know what’s in our food.
