Symptoms vs. Cause

What’s your go-to remedy for …

  • Headaches – is it Tylenol or Ibuprofen?
  • Fatigue – maybe coffee or a soda?
  • Low energy – do you opt for the energy drink or chocolate?
  • Heart burn – is your DOC (drug of choice) Nexium or Prilosec?
  • Constipation – do you take Laxatives or fiber?
  • Diarrhea – is it Kaopectate or Imodium that soothes your symptoms?
  • Neck or low back pain – do you take OTC painkillers for muscle aches and pains?

Or maybe you take a natural approach and use herbs or supplements to get relief.

What do you do to feel better?

Temporary Relief vs. Permanent Fix

Whether you use OTCs, prescription drugs, herb, supplements, homeopathics or any other natural remedy to relieve your discomfort, you’re still just treating the symptoms. Addressing the symptoms is not going to eliminate the problem. It’s just going to delay it until the next time, and the next time and the next time. Eventually it may evolve into a bigger, more serious problem.

Have you ever had a doctor tell you we’ll just watch it? Waiting for it to become a disease so they can prescribe a drug when it fits into the “pill for every ill” model.

Instead of looking for what you can do to get rid of your symptoms, have you ever asked yourself …

What is causing this problem?

Why do I have headaches, fatigue, low energy heartburn, ets.?

If you had a splinter in your hand, would you take a pain killer, or would you remove the splinter?

If you burned your hand on the hot stove, would you leave it there and ask what you can take to relieve the pain? Or would you immediately remove you hand from the burner?

Taking a drug to kill your symptoms is like plugging a hole instead of fixing the leak. Eventually it gets to be like mopping the floor when the water is still on and overflowing.

Does it really solve the problem?

Maybe temporarily until the symptoms show up again and you repeat the process.

Symptomatic Relief vs. Correcting the Cause

What if instead of looking for a pill to fix your ills, you asked, what is causing me to feel this way?

Why does it keep happening over and over, every day, every week, every month?

What can I do to stop the vicious cycle and start feeling better?

How can I get rid of the symptoms for good?

I’m glad you asked.

Here’s a way for you to find out what’s causing your symptoms. Click the image and learn how you can get to the root cause of your symptoms and eliminate them for good.

Symptom Chaser vs. Problem Solver

Are you going to be a symptom chaser or problem solver?

If you keep treating your symptoms, it’s like making charges to your credit card without ever paying the bill. Then one day you find out that you have a huge problem that will cost you a lot more than you bargained for.

So now, instead of your doctor saying let’s wait and see, you’ll get a diagnosis and it may be something that you really don’t want.

Will you be proactive and work to find the cause and prevent future illness, or will you go the way of the masses and wait for the big diagnosis?

I invite you to watch this special webinar presentation to find out the real reasons behind what’s going on with your health … and how to finally get relief from these symptoms once and for all!

15 Pounds and 6 ½ Inches

That’s how much a patient of mine lost on her first five weeks of her Transformations 360® Program.  She’s looking great … glowing, and feeling fantastic with so much more energy.

Since she started T-360®, her co-workers have been so impressed with how great she was looking, they started a “Greatest Loser” program where she works.

She’s in the number 1 spot so far.

Before starting the Transformations 360® Program, she was frustrated because she had been struggling trying to lose weight for YEARS.

She lost nearly seven pounds her first week, then between one and three pounds each week since. This is the average weight loss on this program.

Her weight loss goal when she started was 30 pounds. She is so excited about how she is feeling and how well she is doing, she’s now upgraded her goal to 45 pounds.

So, what is the Transformations 360® Program?

Transformations 360® is about empowering your life for wellness.

The first step is establishing your Wellness Index. You fill out an assessment questionnaire and are evaluated for 15 conditions based upon your symptoms. This gives you a baseline of your un-healthy markers.

Next, you follow a ketogenic, elimination diet … eating real whole foods. This provides you with enhanced energy and an improved mental state.

The eating plan is designed to help you lose abdominal fat, maintain muscle mass and reduce elevated blood sugar. You will take a nutrient dense protein drink which provides the nutrients you need to maintain healthy body functions, lose weight healthfully and eliminates hunger cravings so you feel good while on the program.

Re-evaluation of your Wellness Index helps to pinpoint food allergies and sensitivities, nutritional deficiencies and chronic conditions. It identifies the root cause of your symptoms so you can correct un-healthy markers. Chronic conditions need the attention of a health care practitioner … who can help you improve your health and reverse conditions like pre-diabetes.

What makes this program more effective than other weight loss programs?

On the Transformations 360® Program you …

  • maintain your muscle mass while you lose fat so you retain your body’s calorie-burning engine.
  • learn healthy eating habits that not only help you lose the weight, but also to keep it off.
  • address functional health imbalances so you’re able to lose weight, maintain your weight loss and healthy blood sugar levels.
  • pinpoint food intolerances, address them, and keep the weight off.
  • feel good during weight loss, without hunger, cravings, low energy or mental fatigue, which makes it easy to stick with the program.

Wake Up Call: Prevent Disease Before It is Too Late

In the last two years, one cousin and three close friends have died. The first two friends were my best girl friends from childhood. We played together from elementary school age and graduated high school together. The third was one of my college friends.

My cousin, who is younger than I, died in September 2010 from lymphoma. My first girlfriend died in August 2010 from Lou Gehrig’s disease. Her husband, who also graduated from high school with us, preceded her in death in 2009. My second childhood girlfriend, succumbed in June of this year, to cancer. My college friend just died suddenly October 3, 2012.

It is being said that our children’s generation will not live as long as their parents. I think it’s already happening.

We are not living as long as our parents.

How To Feel Better And Improve Your Health

Do you feel less healthy than you’d like? Do you have health issues that don’t want to go away no matter what you do to try to alleviate them?

Have you been to doctors, only to have them tell you there’s nothing wrong with you?

Health is not the absence of disease. It is a state of well being in body, mind and spirit. When you are truly healthy, you’ll feel a zest for living, an abundance of energy to get up and go do the things you love to do. Anything less is not real health.

What makes it challenging when you go to the doctor not feeling well and you’re told there’s nothing wrong with you is that you know there is something wrong, but the tests just aren’t picking it up.

You see, there isn’t a distinct line between health and disease. In most cases, it’s a gradual process. You don’t go from healthy to having a disease overnight, unless you came in contact with something that causes an immediate reaction. Most of the time, there are shades of gray where you’re not healthy, but you’re not sick enough for the tests medical science has available to detect it.

Don’t despair. There is hope.

Are You Eating Healthy Food, But Still Not Feeling As Healthy As You’d Like?

What does it take to be really healthy?

Everyone tells you healthy eating is important if you want to be healthy.

How can it be that some people eat healthfully and they still feel like they aren’t healthy or at least not as healthy as they want?

Why is it that some people are fanatical about health and healthy eating and they still aren’t healthy?

How is it that some people, no matter what they do, just cannot get healthy?

Do they just have “bad genes” and are destined to be unhealthy?

Or is there some other explanation?

Do you see yourself or someone you know in this scenario?

Is healthy eating really as important as it’s cracked up to be?

Let’s look at what it means to be healthy.

When you’re healthy, you …

  • feel good
  • have a lot of energy
  • have a zest for life
  • have a positive mindset
  • experience vitality in body, mind and spirit

An optimal state of health occurs when your …

  • body chemistry is in balance
  • cells are nourished down to the deepest cellular level
  • body is getting all the nutrition it needs and absorbing it
  • body is working like a fine tuned machine

So, how is it that some people, who work really hard at being healthy …

… and are doing everything right, are still not able to achieve excellent health?

The truth of the matter is that attaining a state of optimal well being sometimes takes more than a healthy diet, regular exercise and a positive mindset. You are unique. There is no one else on the face of the earth exactly like you. So, your needs are unique. You must meet your unique needs to realize your true health potential.

It’s true that some people, no matter how they live their life, seem to be robust and healthy. They are among the few who have been blessed with a strong genetic makeup and they just don’t seem to have to work as hard at being healthy as the rest of the population.

If you’re not one of them, don’t worry …

… there is still hope. It’s just a matter of a little detective work.

The first thing to note is that healthy foods are classified as such because of the nutrients they contain and their potential to produce health enhancing benefits to the average person in the population. You’re not average. So, not all so-called healthy foods, may be healthy for you.

You’ve heard that some people may have allergies to foods like eggs, peanuts or soy. Maybe you’re one of them or you know someone who has food allergies. While some people have severe, maybe even life-threatening reactions to these foods, there are others who seem to thrive on these foods.

Generally with food allergies, your reaction from eating an allergic food is instantaneous or occurs within 2 hours after eating the food.

There is another kind of allergy …

… a hidden food allergy that can cause a reaction up to 3 days after you’ve eaten the food. It can cause symptoms like migraines, digestive upset, arthritis, fatigue, skin disorders and many more ailments that you probably would not associate with a food reaction. These are called food sensitivities or food intolerance.

When you eat foods you’re sensitive to, it causes an inflammatory reaction in your body. As long as you continue to eat intolerant foods, the inflammation continues and is generally associated with a decline in your health.

Imagine this …

Suppose you are intolerant to foods like broccoli or salmon. Everything you read tells you that these are healthy foods. They protect you from things like cancer and heart disease. You believe you’re doing good things for your health by eating broccoli and salmon a couple times a week and you keep eating them regularly because they’re supposed to be so good for you.

But instead of feeling better, you’re feeling worse. Your joints are getting stiff. Your skin is breaking out. Headaches are occurring more and more frequently. You’re frustrated. You are doing so many good things for your health and instead of feeling better, you feel worse.

Does this sound like you or someone you know?

Food sensitivities are insidious. Most people don’t have a clue that they’re sensitive to certain foods. And finding out what foods you’re sensitive to can be a challenging task.

You can try to figure it out on your own by following an elimination diet. However, this can take a long time to determine all your sensitive foods and in my experience, most people, including myself, can’t stick with it long enough to figure out all the sensitive foods.

However, there is an easy way to discover you food sensitivities … through the ALCAT Test.

The ALCAT  Test …

… is a blood test that challenges the part of your immune system responsible for food sensitivities against different foods to determine your immune response. The strength of the response will tell if you have a severe, moderate or mild sensitivity or no sensitivity at all.

You can choose to test between 100 and 200 different foods. And in two weeks, you have a report listing all your sensitive foods, including the degree of sensitivity, and your safe foods. It’s that simple. Imagine how long it would take to test that many foods on an elimination diet!

Common Food Enzyme Kills Cancer Cells

You won’t read this in the mainstream news, but there are many natural substances that kill cancer cells.

Alternative treatments have been around for a long time, but they’re not widely published. If you want to know about them, you have to look for them. If you’re skeptical, it’s understandable because western medicine tells you they don’t work.

The truth of the matter is that a healthy body doesn’t get cancer. If your immune system is strong and all the systems in your body are in balance and functioning properly, you will be healthy.

If you’re not healthy, and you restore your body’s normal balance and strengthen your immune system, you will regain your health.

If you understand these facts, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that you can restore your health by eating healthy foods. That includes foods that contain cancer-fighting properties.

So, what about this food enzyme that kills cancer cells? The enzyme is bromelain, from pineapple. Read the article to learn more.

Bur what if … pineapple is a food that you’re sensitive to? Would you want to be eating a food or taking an enzyme from a food that causes an inflammatory response in your body when you’re trying to restore your health? But pineapple seems like such a healthy food and it promotes healthy digestion. Could it be possible that an individual could really be sensitive to pineapple? The answer is YES. In fact, pineapple is one of my food sensitivities.

The first thing to remember is that in order to be healthy, you must be feeding your body healthfully. This includes food, products you use on your skin that are absorbed into your bloodstream, products you use around your house and yard that you inhale or get on your skin.

So, what do you do when you want the benefits of a healthy food or superfood but you’re intolerant to it? You choose healthy foods and superfoods that are healthy and safe foods for you. How do you know what to choose? You get tested.

Please note… This is not medical advice. You should seek out the services of an appropriate health care provider to assist you with your health issues.

“Let Thy Food Be Thy Medicine …”

“Let they food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food” is ancient wisdom that we seem to have forgotten in these modern, high tech times.

In spite of the fact that technology has advanced so phenomenally over the last 100 years, “the human genome is 99.98% the same as it was 40,000 years ago.” This means that we virtually have the same biochemical makeup as the people living in the Stone Age. So, the food our body is designed to eat is basically the same type eaten in ancient times.

What we are feeding our bodies is so far removed from what we were designed to eat that we are suffering for it.

Most of the food on the market is NOT real food. It’s processed chemicals, void of nutrients, that does not provide what we need to sustain health. The result … we in the U.S. are one of the sickest nations in the western world, in spite of supposedly having the best health care system in the world.

We live in a society that expects “a pill for every ill” rather than looking to find the cause of the ailment.

When you drive your car, you put gas in your gas tank. Otherwise, your car wouldn’t run. You take your car in for routine service and maintenance to keep it running and make it last longer.

Your body is just like your car. It needs the proper fuel and maintenance. When it doesn’t get it, it starts to break down and malfunction. You might first start feeling a little tired and low energy. Then it progresses and the symptoms increase and eventually you get sick.

The big difference between your body and your car is that when your car breaks down beyond repair, you can get a new car. But … you can’t get a new body!

It’s a sad state of affairs that we treat our cars better than we treat our bodies.

We eat nutrient deficient, chemically altered food and we wonder why we’re sick.

The best way to be healthy, or to regain your health if you have started losing it, is to give your body the fuel that it needs … the nourishment it was designed to function efficiently on.

Just like some cars require different types of fuel to run efficiently, your body may require different foods. If you have food sensitivities, your body may not tolerate all the healthy foods available on the market. If you want to be healthy you need to eliminate those intolerant foods and eat the healthy foods your body needs.

So, how do you know if some otherwise healthy foods are unhealthy for you?

If you’re feeling less than vibrantly alive and healthy, something’s amiss.

The best way to find out is to get tested.
