Say No to the Yo-Yo … Weight Loss for Life

Have you ever gone on a diet, lost weight, only to gain it back, and then some?

At some point, did you just throw your hands up in despair and say “what’s the use?”

Do you want to know

  • the real reason why dieting doesn’t work?
  • why you gain more weight with each diet you go on?
  • and then eventually enter the ranks of the diabetics?

Here’s why …

When you diet, you lose muscle mass as you lose weight instead of losing just fat. This reduces your body’s “calorie-burning engine.”

When you go on a diet, lose the weight you want, then go off the diet … if you haven’t learned how to make the correct changes to your unhealthy food habits and if you go back to eating the foods that caused you to gain weight in the first place, you will gain the weight back.

In other words, if you didn’t learn healthy eating habits to help you maintain the weight loss, you’ll gain it back.

If you’re eating foods that are not blood-sugar friendly, i.e. foods that raise your blood sugar, like candy, cookies, pastries, energy bars, sodas, fruit juices and even too much fruit, you’re setting yourself up to not only become a diabetic, but also to gain weight.

When you go on a diet to lose weight and your focus is solely on the weight loss, you miss the reason for the inability to maintain your weight loss. There may be underlying functional health imbalances that prevent you from maintaining a healthy weight and healthy blood sugar over time.

The adverse effects of hidden food sensitivities that may have been diminished or eliminated when you avoided the guilty foods while on your diet come back with a vengeance when you go back to eating them, which in turn brings the weight back.

And if the diet program you’re on allows you to be hungry, have food cravings, low energy or brain fog the likelihood that you will stick with it is greatly decreased.

Does this mean that you should give up, forget about losing weight and maintaining healthy blood sugar levels and just learn to live with it? Wait for the diagnosis and the drugs?

Absolutely not!

There is a way to achieve and maintain healthy weight loss and prevent the onset of diabetes and other chronic diseases.

The first step is a health assessment to get a baseline measure of your state of health. You need to find out if you have any functional health conditions that may be preventing you from losing the weight and keeping it off.

Following a ketogenic elimination diet, with the essential supportive nutrients, will allow you to biochemically set your body to use excess fat for fuel while protecting muscle mass, i.e. preventing you from losing muscle mass as you lose weight, and reducing elevated blood sugar, as well as eliminating hunger, maintaining blood sugar, having high energy and a clear mind.

Most important is to be eating “the right” whole foods your prepare from scratch … no packaged foods, no gimmicks, just real food and specific nutrients designed to support your body in healthy weight loss and healthy blood sugar levels.

Losing weight is not just about weight loss. It’s about improving your health and in the process allowing your body to achieve a normal weight.
